BARBADOS

A perfect blend of British comforts and Caribbean charm, superb white sands, clear blue seas, rapturous scenery, a sensational climate and totally laid back atmosphere makes Barbados out of this world.

The tiny island of Barbados is a perfect introduction to the Caribbean. It's everything you would imagine it to be and so much more!

For many people the beaches are the main attraction and little wonder - they are simply superb. The south coast, where the sea is calm, is something of a holiday hotspot, while the spectacular east coast reveals rugged cliffs and deserted bays.

If you can tear yourself away from the beach though, it's certainly worth the effort. When it comes to beautiful scenery, there are parts of Barbados that will send you into raptures.

If you want exercise there are water sports, tennis and championship golf courses.

Bridgetown offers excellent duty free shopping and, if you feel the need for a bit of British tradition, you could always catch a cricket match!

On arrival in Barbados you'll have to clear immigration. This can be quite a slow process - so consider it your introduction to the laid back, Caribbean pace of life!

Climate

The biggest change in weather occurs during the rainy season when you can expect humidity and sudden, but brief downpours, although the thermometer still reaches the 80s.

Please note: June to November is generally the hurricane season for Barbados.
